The Music Mint

A day in the life of The Music Mint, our studio. The studio has its share of friends, well-wishers, people who love recording here and of course plenty who've never heard of it. This is to share a mint a day!

The making of the Deepavali song

Priya Bharati has finished shooting the Deepavali song. 3 days of sheer hard work, some interviews in the midst of it and some fun. It's a great experience watching the visualisation of one's song.
Today she is shooting the theme.
Sangeeta Katti comes in tomorrow or day after to sing the second female lead part of the song. Priya and her assistant Rajshri had taken some video clips and snaps of the string section. Will post them in a bit!

Here are some snaps while we worked on the song.

There's one of Nagendrappa, playing the clarinet for the song, Ram showing him the tune on the harmonium.

Another of Chaitra figuring out the tune, while Ram tries a chord and I try to capture the moment.

The male and female chorus lending substance to the festive song.
